Summary

Checklist when on campus during SCU Law orientation week

Body

Now that you have set up 95% of what you need off campus, you are now ready to set up the rest of the SCU network resource tools.
Checklist #5
Are you connected to the preferred WiFi network (Eduroam) while on campus?

Windows OS

Mac OS

NOTE:
Santa Clara University IT does not require you to install ClearPass OnGuard health check monitoring agent but it is highly recommended that you have an approved anti virus software on your computer. If you have issues accessing SCU online resources while on campus, then contact the main University IT help desk at 408-554-5700 or email techdesk@scu.edu.
WARNING: If you choose not to use Eduroam or SCU-Guest WiFi on campus, then your only option is to use your own hotspot and personal VPN while on campus. Please note that using SCU's visitor WiFi network, SCU-Guest, will not allow you to access any official SCU network resources for SCU registered students like MySCU, camino, Workday for Students, etc.
Checklist #6
Will you be using SCU's pay for print system, Smart Print?
If you are the on the preferred student WiFi network, Eduroam and need to print, then you have these options:

Easy access and method

Smart Print Mobile Printing: Print to a printer by sending your document to an email address.

Smart Print Web only Print Center (recommended, no client install needed): An online web portal to upload your document and print anywhere on campus.

More secure, but a bit more maintenance

Smart Print client: Install Smart Print local print drivers and "Pop Up" client to print, secure, & release any print job on campus. Check out the videos below provided to you by Law Technology to get you started.

For those with no other option and/or a guest of SCU's campus

Guest Printing: For SCU guests that need to print on campus and can print using their personal email address.

NOTE: You will be printing PDFs so be aware of a common issue when printing to a Smart Print printer on campus.
